Muslim Union UK (MUUK) is a civil Islamic organisation established in March 2025 in London. It is dedicated to serving the Muslim community across Britain through education, community development, and active civic participation.
Our mission is to serve Muslims in the United Kingdom, defend their rights, and empower them to participate actively in British society — while preserving their Islamic identity and values.
Yes. Muslim Union UK is formally registered in England and Wales and operates in full compliance with British law and its founding constitution.
MUUK operates through a structured governance framework comprising four bodies:
• The Executive Office — manages the day-to-day operations of the organisation and oversees the branches. It includes ten specialist departments: Membership, Branches, Youth, Juniors, Dawah, Women, Media, Islamic Scouts, Finance, and Education.
• Branch Boards — manage each local branch across the eight cities, under the supervision of the Executive Office.
• The Shura Council — an elected body responsible for general oversight and setting the organisation's strategic direction.
• The Judicial and Arbitration Committee — handles disputes and ensures compliance with the founding constitution.
